Connection. That is what is most important to Christine. Whether that is with her customer, her loved ones, herself, or nature around her and all the healing it brings with it. We are born to connect, so let's use it!

[03:51] I'm reworking the DNA setting that had been defaulted into us. That idea that moms aren't supposed to work. And if they do, it's a huge sacrifice for the family and. Whereas I'm rewriting the story. I get to what I love every single day. I'm helping other mommies and my girls get that and they're proud of me.

[09:44] Having a customer feel like they are an important human being on your path is everything. We grew to be a successful seven-figure business and I don't know everybody's name anymore because it had grown so big. But we knew people's names getting there, we listened, we greeted them with kindness and the same has translated into my current business today where I reach out to my customers regularly.

[18:51] My legacy is something that I'm constantly working on. I got so tired of saying and then someday I'll do this, and then someday I'll do that. How about right now? How can I live into that legacy and be that legacy today? So I focus on that every single day.

What I got from my interview with Christine is life's too short! Too short to hold on to things that no longer serve us, too short to hold onto grudges and past hurts, too short to not take care of ourselves and our bodies… But also too short to be afraid to show yourself and grow a powerful business so you can create a life you and your loved ones deserve! She is an incredible inspiration to all those around her and I know she'll be for you as well.

And I don't mean wearing nappies on race day…

I mean getting a coach to keep my mind from going insane 6 hours into my cycle, a nutritionist to make me fuel my body properly, and most importantly a community to hold me accountable and keep me on track.

Today I share how all these lessons I have learned in training have helped me so much in my journey as an entrepreneur and why I truly value continuous coaching so much.

[07:12] He'd been a professional athlete before and trained and coached people for years and years. And that took all of the thought processes out of it. I just got given the program every week and I just had to follow it and just having to follow it was actually enough for my brain to cope with and all these new moving pieces and bits and puzzles, then having that support group around me and accountability means that I stayed consistent.

[14:24] It was all down to the fact that I didn't get a coach. I hadn't had surrounded myself with those people to make it an enjoyable experience. Both during the training and on race day, I hadn't stuck to a nutritional plan,

like a plan of business, a plan of attack. I hadn't stuck to what I knew worked for me and I hadn't done my mindset work.

[15:01] So why in business as it, that people chop and change chop and change all over the shop floor and don't stick to one plan. And I think that's why we've got 98% success rate and 60 Days to $3K, because we give you ONE formula.

I want to give you a bit of a breather! If you are not seeing the results currently don't beat yourself up too much. If you doing all doing courses at the moment, dabbling a bit in this and a bit in that, getting super overwhelmed and unmotivated "having to do it all” but not seeing any results for all your hard work… Take a breath!

What is keeping you from getting results is that you haven't got the accountability, it's not the right fit and you probably not surrounding yourself with the right people.

[04:48] I still believe in the most important asset in your business is the people that are working in the business, which is why I place a very, very big premium on looking after your people first and foremost, then your existing clients, and then new clients.

[09:37] People are actually gonna end up doing business with you because of you, not because of your product or your service or your offering or your fancy email funnel or how great you look on social media. All of that is believe it or not 100% irrelevant.

[15:06] Don't worry about the close. Because if you prospect and you qualify properly, do those two things right and you are way more likely to close the sell because you're talking to the right person in the first place.

I believe in being unapologetically YOU. This doesn't just attract all the people you SHOULD be doing business with, which are all the people that you can genuinely help and serve. But at the exact same time, something literally miraculous happens just like a magnet. It repels the people that ARE NOT a good fit for you, your style, and what you have to offer.

[05:22] I have to change my thought patterns to be able to get out of this and not think that by asking my husband to leave, I was going to be some broke ass mama living in a one bedroom apartment, which is what I always thought that would happen. And the worst! looked upon pitifully by other mothers.

[06:51] I surrounded myself with people and knowledge that there could be a different story that I could write for myself and went for it. By changing my thought patterns and being committed to a new story, I was able to rewrite my life

[10:15] You can also do that in your business. You can go from having zero very few clients with very few sales to having multiple sales or multiple clients or multiple six figure business. What you need to start doing though is start showing up as the person you want to become TODAY.

I want to help YOU get there. To be able rewrite these stories that have kept you stuck so that you can create the income that you want and be able to say ‘I am a successful business owner' not just a hobbyist hustling away her evening hours on the side. I wanted this podcast to be different and have guests share their successes AND failures in a no BS approach, not hiding the hard work and face plants that come with being an entrepreneur. Today's guest ALoN David is doing just that… Telling us what we NEED to hear about having a successful business, not necessarily what we want to hear.

[02:53] That's where most people lack. They try to do everything. They think I'll do a little bit of this, a little bit of that. That just doesn't work. You've got to focus on one thing if you want to do it right. If you want to make it happen, you've got to focus on one thing and just go until it's done.

[07:37] I always use this basketball analogy… If I wanted to throw a ball from the other side of the court, I think that if I practice a lot, I might reach it. But if I put it on the other side of the parking lot, I'm probably not going to reach it no matter what I do. And if it's too close, then it's too easy. So you want to put it in a place where you can reach it, but it's gonna require some work to do. And that's for me is the good goal.

[10:45] They all have to align. You're not going to make a goal of this. And then the next goal is completely the opposite. No, it's going to be pretty much the same as the big picture. What is your big picture? What is it that you really want from your company, from your business, from your brand? What is the big picture that you want? And then take that and start breaking into quarters because you're not going to be able to do it all.

There’s no such thing as easy. Nobody has made it easy unless you’re a Hilton. For the first 3 years, I was picking up trash and washing shopping centers to get by. If you want to make it in business and be successful in your launches you need to stick with it. Look at your numbers, pivot, and make your content better. Not getting stuck in creating new content every time something doesn't work. Ask your audience what they want and then tweak your product to match that.

[04:11] It was of soul searching, trials and errors, trying this business, and doing this thing, before I landed upon a true business model that fit my lifestyle. There's so many different ways, especially here now in 2020 to make money online. But it doesn't mean every single way as conducive for your skillset, your lifestyle and your family.

[07:07] When we work with that dream client, that's, that's the person who we're fully equipped to get the best result for. And when they get that best result, that's the ripple effect, the kind of the snowball that ends up bringing more dream clients to you. It's about identifying the problem that you solve and creating the best process to get there and position it for the person that is at the highest level.

[14:16] What we need is moms pursuing their passion. Think about the mom who is just so lit up. Think about the overflow. Her husband gets overflow, kids get the overflow. The world gets beyond that. And just the ripple effect.

Katie believes there is power in being a 'small’ online business. She likes to refer to it as a speedboat versus a cruise liner. In your tiny speedboat, you are able to navigate the waters, avoid the big storms by altering course, and riding that big wave to a new success when it comes. Whereas being a huge cruise liner you have hundreds of people who's lives you are now responsible for. Maneuvering needs to be done with much more caution and consideration. Both have their benefits, it is up to you which ship you want to be the captain of.

This business journey… If you knew upfront what it was going to take. Yeah. Like nobody would take that deal. If you're good at this, or frankly, any business, you're a problem solver. That's kinda, that's your life and frankly, we've got to where we are by solving the next problem.

[03:50] One thing I will say is if you're early stage business, I think it's dangerous to look at what seven and eight figure people do and go, Oh, I should be doing that because they're doing what's right for their stage now, not necessarily what you should be doing to get there.

[08:03] Conversions happen in conversations. And so it's just about having a conversation and working out like, are we a fit or are we not? If we are a fit, it's going to be obvious to both of us that we should work together. And if we're not, it's going to be obviously the most that we want and let's just kind of leave it right there

[18:38] We run our business on six week cycles. And what I love about that is it puts you in this kind of a mad scientist experimenting position all the time, which is really fun. There's like zero pressure it six weeks if it bombs in six weeks, Okay, well, we'll do something else in the next next cycle. And if it works, we keep it. And so I love the freedom that experimenting gives you

If Taki could do one thing different it is that he would have hired people to help him in his business BEFORE he could even afford it. He'd get a VA and get people like ad specialists and graphic designers so they could work in their zone of genius and he could focus on his. Because after all… THAT'S WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS!

Ashley knows what she's worth! And from this understanding she runs her business and her team. She isn't afraid to ask for the $$$ because she also knows that what her clients are getting is nothing short of the best.

[02:53] I'm always thinking about creative strategies to reengage our current clients and also bring in new clients because there's typically a lot of opportunity with the current clients that you have. So a lot of what we do after we get a client is okay, what all can we learn about them? And how can we automate client touch? So we want to know all their birthdays. We want to know their anniversary. We want to have it automated so that they get a card from us in the mail or something.

[06:27] A lot of people give up too soon. So we'll try something for a month and we won't get any clients. And we're like, Oh, well then I have to switch course. No, you have to be consistent. And in the online space, it's a lot of coaches and entrepreneurs that pop up every day. So people don't really know if you're legit, unless you dig in deep and keep putting out content every single day. If you're not getting clients, that means you have more time to market

[11:14] It's gonna pay off, just keep your foot on the gas. Because if you make $1, you can make a hundred. If you make a hundred, you can make a thousand, you make a thousand, you can make a million. It's just a matter of the different strategies you implement at each level of the makeup.

When you're just starting your business, the hardest thing to do is to take yourself out of that mindset of desperation. You cannot sell from a desperate place. No one is looking to hire as service provider that's desperate. So the sale, all of that doesn't work because if I'm hiring you, it's because you have something that I don't have. You have something that I want, whether it's legal services, knowledge or anything else. But if you're selling from a place of desperation, I can't see the solution.

Kelly has a unique starting point in business. She convinced the bank she wanted to buy a Porsche and poured the money into driving her business instead! This huge risk led her to always be pushed towards her inevitable success.

[04:27] When you have a child, you become a shell that looks after this human being. You give your soul, you give your blood, you give your minerals, you give absolutely everything, and then when it comes out you then still continue to feed and keep this, this human alive. Some days do just feel like a factory. And then when it comes to anything but that child we start wondering can I really do this? I've been such a shell for so long for someone else who am I being to stand up on a, on a soapbox and say I'm amazing at something.

[06:49] Personal branding, even building your personal brand is not something that happens overnight. It's a consistent investment into all the things that you do.

[08:29] Just engaging with people that for me, is being, Hey, can we have a call? How can I help you? How can I add value? Not everyone necessarily is going to become a client, but I just, as we were talking about before, I love speaking to people and seeing if I can help them. And if I can manage it into my diary, I will do it.

The biggest advice I can give is Google yourself! Not for vanity sakes but what are the results that come up say about you? And are you happy about what it says? If not you can take steps in your branding to change that, but don't wait too long because you might be too late.

I never was going to start a business that was not actually on my roadmap whatsoever. I spent 11 years working for a fortune 100 company on the tech space, I was on the corporate track. And then in 2012, I had my first baby and in the United States, we have horrible laws for maternity leave and that's when things changed…

[09:47] I I was getting asked the question so many times that I recorded 13 videos in 2017, it was not meant to be a course. It was just 13 videos, basically answering all the questions I kept getting asked. And from there, it took on a life of its own. Once you get one person results and the next person wants results and they recommend you to their friends.

[13:20] The real key on Pinterest is that you have to think of it as what is my person coming to? What problem are they searching? What visual inspiration can I provide to them? And then, so basically their problem is the keyword. The search result is the inspiration. And once they click to your site, your sales funnel is the solution.

[14:41] Instagram requires more con connection than Pinterest does. So it's actually, the thing is, you really can make passive sales on Pinterest. So think about effort. There's some effort that goes into Instagram and maybe I'm biased because I've been doing this a long time. But Pinterest, to me, it kind of seems like, well, people are already there searching for it. 

There are more ways that lead to Rome, and maybe you weren't planning on starting your own business. But like Monica, things changed in your life and somehow you found your way to the entrepreneur life. Know that there are things that make your life easier though! You don't have to figure it all out on your own.

Some people will say James is rigid in his approach because he only does “one thing". James believes the opposite to be true. Do one thing and do it RIGHT and the world is at your feet.

[12:45] It's actually ideal, because if you can help people follow up a proven process and you get better at that process over and over again by repeating it, then you get better results. Your clients get better results. Better results get you more clients. More clients mean more money, gives you more freedom, and allows you to hire more people.

[17:43] Learn from me and seek counsel. I'm in a mastermind with people who have so much knowledge and instead of asking them “I want to do this, what do you think", I didn't seek counsel months. Who rather than how. I thought I knew how and I went higher when I should have gone who first and gotten counsel. I would have made a much more logical decision at that point and not overcommit and let some people down. 

[18:41] Do one thing. Over and over again, I see the people with the most success or freedom.... Entrepreneurs want freedom, right? Freedom is just another word for choice. And the people with the most choice often have the simplest thing, the simplest vehicle. They've got the simplest business built around a rich life.

James's message to you is, stop overcomplicating your business. Focus on your strength and create an amazing product around it! Automate and scale and freedom is yours.

Unlike most entrepreneurs, Lise doesn't really believe in the go-to approaches like "riches in the niches” or stick to one thing and do it well. She believes that as a creative you can have multiple business outlets, have fun, and still be successful too.

[05:28] I think as anyone who has been an entrepreneur is in the online space, you evolve over time. And so I've tried lots of different things, done, lots of different ways and strategies and all those types of things. And I just really discovered at the end of last year that I had created a business that I did not enjoy anymore. 

[17:13] Don't just take any client, be really clear about who you want to work with and, and don't approach a business like you need the money. Because if you're in a sense of desperation, it comes across in everything you do.

[21:45] You don't have to be like an author of one thing. So many people are creative and we get told "the riches are in the niches” but actually as a creative, you can just totally do whatever feels right for you.

Lise has created a business that doesn't just work with her lifestyle, it flows with who she is as a person. Even her period is synced to what she does in her business. And the result? A stress-free business, that feels like an extension of who Lise is, creative and fun!

If anything annoys Louise it is the BS of the magical 6 figure launches. She wants to blow the lid on this because NO ONE, I don't care who you are, walks into entrepreneurship and launches a 6 figure program without obstacles and failures. There is a lot they're not telling you!

[08:04] You just need to keep going. So it was really about having faith that it would work. And I just kept surrounding myself with positive examples of other people that were achieving what I wanted, just to remind myself that it will happen when you stay focussed.

[12:31] Most people, when they start a business think they now can take time off whenever they want. But that's a big myth! Until you have that consistent client flow you have to be there every day! It takes time. It's not hard work. It's not lots of hours. It's consistent. And that's really, really different. 

[18:45] One of the biggest things that was blocking me before was that I kept making decisions from my current situation. It's very easy for you to halt your growth because you're like, "I can't afford that right now", "I can't possibly hire this person to help me right now”. You have to imagine yourself for where you want to be and then start acting NOW as that person.

I've found that for myself, it is not so much about the money that I can make. It feels as though I'm doing something bigger than myself. It's like I found this little pocket of the Internet where I can I can show up and feel as though I'm doing something that is meaningful. That is why I keep going, that's how I keep showing up when things get hard.

whether you've got a million customers or whether you've got five customers or five clients, it's really about creating that depth, understanding who they are understanding what's important to them, what are their behaviors? What are their values? What are their interests and how can you meet those needs and add value to their world because their world is the most important thing to them.

[12:46] if we just chip away and we can create impact and we can do 1% this year and 1% next year in the next 10 years, we will have created a 10% change and that's better than nothing. So I think, you know, continuously striving and continuously looking and re-evaluating and assessing and measuring what you're doing today, how could I do this better? That's what matters.

[14:39] If I was to go back to my 18-year-old self, it would be, you don't need to work so hard. You don't need to, you don't need to prove yourself to anyone. Just keep educating yourself because I believe that can change the state of the world. If we continuously stretch our minds and we continuously stretch our learnings and our topics of interest, we become more interesting people.

[22:21] My most important daily rituals are those of telling yourself of your worth and your self-worth and your beliefs. It's just this constant repetition of the words relating to self-beliefs that every day that you are going to be a better version of yourself and that you will create wealth, then you will create set success and you will create knowledge. That's what gets me up when I'm my new bed at 10 past six and I can't be bothered to get out of bed.

my secret sauce is creating free, valuable, and consistent content. And when I do that, I'm able to create that know like, and trust with an audience that keeps on flowing. not for five or six weeks, 2000 days, and beyond!

[02:53] I was just chasing success that whole time. Or what I thought was success, like fame, fortune money, but I wasn't doing anything of value. I wasn't providing value and I definitely wasn't providing value on a consistent basis.

[07:41] I said to myself, if I ever get to the point where I'm making money, I want to show people behind the scenes. I want to pull back the kimono. I want to show them the ingredients of what's working and what's not working because we share the failures as well. And we have those. 

[08:59] We're here on this beautiful earth for one brief moment in time, and then it's over. And like, we put all the stress and anxiety on like everything that we do. And then we look back and we're like, man, those are my glory years. But like, I wasn't even enjoying it. Cause I was worried about X, Y, and Z.

John's message to everyone is to be in it for the long run. All those overnight successes you see on social media are built on a mountain of failures. John didn't see any results of all his hard work for the first 13 months of the podcast! And then overnight, like a tidal wave, the money started coming in. Stick with it, it's going to be worth it!

Cash is the oxygen of our business. So if you're going to bitch to me about what your business is going like I am going to call you out on your BS and ask you what your targets are and how many calls you have made this month to reach those.

[03:38] when it comes to our business, connection is the currency of our business. It really makes the sale inevitable when we can truly make people feel connected to our story, that they see our humility, and themselves in your story.

[22:38] We need to reverse engineer to see where we go wrong. So if you want a 10k month, how much do you have to hit every single day or how many clients does that equal? Then I want you to triple the amount of sales calls that you need to do to get that number. And if it's more than that, you need to start working on your sales conversation because it's not them, it's you. You can't close. That's on you. Right. Gotta go back. Do you understand your client, do you understand the pain points? Can you share stories and honest truth about that? Or do you sound like a used car salesman?

[24:12] Remember why you're doing this and serve your community consistently. Serve your community and hold yourself accountable. Don't tell yourself, it's just not working. Ask yourself, OK Lady, what have you done today?

Sometimes you're like sometimes going to a bad couple days, like I had bad days on time and I have to crawl out of it.

[00:31:25] I want to make it easy so people can actually realize, wow, I can create things I don't have to, like, outsource all the time or I can outsource to give them this and they can just do it for me in seconds. I want to teach people that they can actually build a business that works for them and have content.

We just don't say what we want because we are always so afraid to disappoint, to look bad. We need to brave up!

[00:04:33] We go into that motherhood martyrdom role as well, where we put ourselves completely at the bottom of the heap, like under the dog in terms of priority. And I feel like it's hard to crawl back from that. But we got to do it.

[00:08:59] She talks about twenty-nine dollars being the no brainer price point. So anything lower than that? People are like, yep, sweet. I'll get it. Anything above twenty-nine. They have to think about it. So I'm encouraging my clients to create this.

[00:15:48] So often people don't say what they want. They're like, I don't wanna be pushy, I do want to be salesy, I don't want to offend anyone. But I think underneath it all, people just don't want to look bad. But as a result, and we're calling it fear of failure, we're calling it perfectionism, what we're calling it imposter syndrome we are stuck. I feel like if they worried less if they cared more about what they think and less about what others think of them, they would more easily move into that impact zone.

It doesn't mean that you cancel your plans for twenty-twenty. It doesn't mean that you give up. You just have to adjust and tweak. And that's part of being an entrepreneur. It's like being a mom right? That's what we do anyway, so why not bring that into your business? I mean we're resilient people and we can, we can still achieve our goals. It just might look a little different from our original plan. And that's okay.

[00:05:31] I literally went to my calendar and messaged my team and I said, everything's off. We're resetting everything. No more live launches, no webinars, no challenges, nothing. We're not going to build anything new. We're not gonna do anything new. We're just gonna take what we have and we're going to scale it. Because I'm still gonna hit my goals, like are still going to do that this year. But it just looks different.

[00:06:13] It was just unrealistic. And it was stressing me out and I said NO. I turned everything evergreen, I built out all these crazy funnels.. I adjusted my marketing to serve that and that's all we're doing. It was a lot of freaking work. It was a lot of hustle. But I now have like an ecosystem essentially in my business. So I changed the way I was working and I made it fit more into my life, which is a cool luxury that we have as entrepreneurs.
