When they're getting their business started they think I've got to hustle, hustle, hustle, and there's no way I can sleep if I'm growing this business. But what if you could be more productive because you have devoted time to it? That way you are able to use fewer hours instead of feeling exhausted, distracted, and needing a lot of coffee.”

[14:20] “If you don't take your health seriously, you're not present. You're exhausted and you're tired all the time, so you're basically creating a life you can't even enjoy because you're so tired.”

[19:41] “If you're not seeing results in your business, it's not the strategy, it's not your fricking messaging and certainly not your logo color. It is what’s going on inside you and you have to work on that first in order to see results.”

This business journey… If you knew upfront what it was going to take. Yeah. Like nobody would take that deal. If you're good at this, or frankly, any business, you're a problem solver. That's kinda, that's your life and frankly, we've got to where we are by solving the next problem.

[03:50] One thing I will say is if you're early stage business, I think it's dangerous to look at what seven and eight figure people do and go, Oh, I should be doing that because they're doing what's right for their stage now, not necessarily what you should be doing to get there.

[08:03] Conversions happen in conversations. And so it's just about having a conversation and working out like, are we a fit or are we not? If we are a fit, it's going to be obvious to both of us that we should work together. And if we're not, it's going to be obviously the most that we want and let's just kind of leave it right there

[18:38] We run our business on six week cycles. And what I love about that is it puts you in this kind of a mad scientist experimenting position all the time, which is really fun. There's like zero pressure it six weeks if it bombs in six weeks, Okay, well, we'll do something else in the next next cycle. And if it works, we keep it. And so I love the freedom that experimenting gives you

If Taki could do one thing different it is that he would have hired people to help him in his business BEFORE he could even afford it. He'd get a VA and get people like ad specialists and graphic designers so they could work in their zone of genius and he could focus on his. Because after all… THAT'S WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS!

[00:07:31] Plans are going to change. That just means there's something better than I haven't thought yet.

[00:12:32] I think it's really important that especially online business owners look at the opportunity cost of anything we say yes to. So there are certain things that may give us a short term payoff, whether it's cash money or some kind of a credibility booster, but they have a big cost in the long run.

[00:21:44] one of my affirmations is I am supernaturally strong. And I believe that because I believe that we're all made in the image of the creator. And so we all have access not just to strength we have to hustle for and drive for, but a supernatural strength if we choose to tap into it. 

[00:28:29] My rule of thumb for a professional copywriter is to hit your first six figures in sales before you hire someone to do it for you.

Anna strongly believes the key to success is that we give our businesses the respect that they deserve.

[00:02:27] I believe that business is really simple. We can Google stuff, you can buy a course teaching you how to do anything, but at the end of the day, it's just you in a room having the courage to ask people for money. And that's often where people get stuck.

[00:08:36] Charging well for what you do has such a ripple effect through your clients, your communities, your suppliers. Everybody is impacted by a woman who stands in her way.

[00:17:46] There are 16.5 billion people in the world and if they all said, yes, I want to work with you tomorrow, you'd have heart failure, you just couldn't cope. So don't try and appease everyone when really, 50 or 100 is the maximum that you can cope with anyway.

My biggest lesson for people now is to know yourself, know what floats your boat, know what you're good at or what lights you up, and really only do those things.

"There's so much codependence with our business. If my business is thriving, then I'm awesome. Your business is not going to thrive all the time. And so what are you going to make that mean for yourself?".

[00:02:46] In order to get to the next level, you have to look at yourself, look at what you believe about yourself, and really, ask yourself if these are truths or if they just bullshit stories that are holding you back and stopping your growth.

[00:07:30] Things might not end up being the way you think that they're going to be, but where unhappiness lies is between what's actually going on and the story that we're telling ourselves about how we think it should be.

[00:22:04] Our kids need us to be our best selves. Am I honouring Lisa? Am I following her path? Am I growing and expanding? Loving my children is the thing that requires no effort. I mean, it's just a given. I will always show up and then I can honour myself, too

Lisa believes honouring herself is what makes her a good mom. Kids need to see us show up and communicate what we need.

• [00:13:18] As business owners, we still have our own blind spots. It's kind of like when your friend is dating a loser and you're like, oh, my goodness, why is she with him? What is wrong with her? But then when you're dating a loser, you're like, why does everybody think he's a loser?

• [00:29:30] If God is for you who can be against you? If He's got this, why are you so worried about this? I repeat this myself over and over again. If he is for me, who can be against me? I have nothing to fear in this business.

Rachel takes time in her business to pause, reevaluate, and knows that it is never too late to start moving in the right direction. She keeps momentum in her business by a rock-solid faith and mindset.
