Many runners come to our yoga classes at the Academy and we are very grateful to Penny for sharing her story about coming to yoga and the benefits she found and how they have enhanced her running experience and performance
- thanks Penny!
Penny Comins: Bring it on.
Penny Comins: Enjoying life too
Penny Comins: Consistency works
Penny Comins is making progress. The triathlete turned Ultra runner (for 2015 anyway!), has been testing out her preparation for the 85km Tarawera Ultra Marathon by racing in a 26 km event, the Tussock Traverse (www.tussocktraverse.co.nz). Despite doubts about her training times and feeling she was 'flying'-consistency works.
Penny Comins: If it doesn't scare you
Penny Comins: Mental Strength
Penny Comins: new year, new plan
After a hectic year which included Ironman South Africa, Norseman and Kona, Penny Comins looked set to keep up with the endurance challenges when she set herself a challenge of the Manaslu Mountain Trail Race- as part of a qualification route for the infamous Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc. Could she keep it going? No!
Penny Comins: my brain hurts
Penny Comins: madness continues
Penny Comins: The Kona taper...
Penny Comins: hot, humid & hard!
With only three weeks to go now until Kona, Penny Comins is still "sweating in Thailand" in preparation for her first Ironman World Championship appearance. Thankfully, the surroundings of Thanyapura (www.thanyapura.com) mean she is surrounded by plenty of experience to ask questions all while dodging typhoons...
Penny Comins: It's Thai time...
She should have no excuses on the big Island-having just completed week one of three weeks at the Thanyapura Sports Centre (www.thanyapura.com) in Thailand. She arrived, her bike arrived...unfortunately her luggage took a detour! Here is her first update from Thailand.
